If you're expecting a modern hotel with all the latest amenities this is not the place for you. My wife and I found this hotel built in the 1920s to be oddly charming, eclectic and surreal. The staff was over the top friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again.
Picking a budget is hotel can be a daunting task from out of state. When we got here I was so happy to find that we'd made a good choice. This hotel isn't fancy but it's plenty good enough for me. I'd come back again without hesitation.

This was chosen because of it's proximity to where I needed to be the next few days. It's a bit off the beaten path but accessable using a GPS navigator. This is a vintage ( read old ) place undergoing renovation and repairs. There is no elevator and no phone in the room or room service. The heat is from a steam radiator and there is no thermostat for the room. There is an expensive restaurant attached to the rear with adequate parking. The people there were friendly and respect your privacy.
It was so old fashioned! The beds were very comfortable though. I would only stay here if it was in the middle of winter and I was stuck and I had some cans of soup because the place at least has a microwave. The front desk guy was standoffish and not very pleasant but the guy who does maintenance was a gem.
